Aakhar vele jad eh banda is duniyan noon chhorhega;
Jad duniyan de rishte naate yam da raja torhega.
Dhan joban te husan jawani naal kise vi jana nahin;
Naam di daulat bajhon tere kamm kise vi aana nahin.
Kam nahin aauni akal syaanap na chalna chaturayiyan ne;
Ret de utte mahal bana ke jhoothiyan aasan laayiyan ne.
Raasaan jis nun samjhi baithain raasaan sabh parayiyan ne;
Aakhar vele kamm nahin aauna karam dharam changiyaayiyan ne.
Jo vi dubba naam sarovar oh banda tar javega;
Kahe avtar suno re santon muh ujla kar javega.

When man shall depart from this world at last;
When The king of Death shall snap all his relations with the world;
At that appointed time, O' man, the riches, youth and beauty shall not go with you;
Except the treasure of Divine Name nothing, else shall be of any avail to you.
Neither your intelligence nor wisdom shall be of any avail;
You are simply building castles on sand and pinning false hopes.
The assets which you are depending upon are actually not your own;
Rites, rituals, and (so called) noble acts shall not be of any use at last.
Whosoever dives deep into the reservoir of Divine Name shall attain salvation;
Avtar says, listen O' saints, such a person shall depart from the world without a blot on
his face.

Meaning
When this human being will depart from this world at last;
When the king of Death will snap all his relations with the world;
At that end time, O' man, the riches, youth and beauty will not go with you
Except the Wealth of Divine Name, nothing else will be of any avail to you.
Neither your intelligence nor wisdom and maneuverings shall be of any avail.
You are simply building castles on sand and pinning false hopes.
The assets which you are considering as yours are actually not your own. They ultimately belong to someone else.
Rites, rituals, and (so called) good deeds shall not be of any use at last. Whosoever dives deep into the pool of Divine Name shall attain salvation.
Listen O' saints, such a person shall depart from the world with a pure face.
